This is a roleplay blog for Dinah Laurel Lance, aka the Black Canary. The character’s portrayal will be based only on the comics from Pre-52. Then verses will differ.

I don’t own the character of Dinah, everything belongs to DC Comics.

HIGHLY SELECTIVE - PRIVATE

I also unfollow a lot for multiple reasons; you post too much ooc, negativity, smut, big gifs, triggering topics, you’re inactive for more than a month.

Don’t try to come at me if i didn’t follow you back, anything non mutual will be deleted ( asks, memes ). All these reasons to keep my dash clean, && lower my anxiety when I log into my happy place.

ACTIVITY

However, I spend way too much time on it, so this blog will run on queues on weekends and some days of the week. I have kids to take care of, and we all really need to disconnect from this site. It’s still just a hobby.

EXCLUSIVES

Exclusives means I will not rp with another duplicate of your muse, && it’s usually mutual, for multiple reasons. However, I do follow duplicates of exclusives because I like to read threads, and portrayals. If I follow you but i’m exclusive with another rper of your muse, I’m very open to talk ooc but I won’t rp with you.

THREADS - CONTENT - FORMATTING

Again all icons are made by me, and I will be bitter if I found any of them on others blogs.

I do rp with icons, and a small and very light formatted text. You don’t have to match it, but if you use big gifs I’ll most likely not follow. I prefer normal icons, or tiny gifs. Take a look at my threads/blog for more infos. I also rp iconless at times, I really don’t mind.

The whole content of this blog is written by me ( tho I don’t own Dinah’s character or any of her arc from DC Comics ).

In term of writing, I’m a very literate person ! That’s important because I’ll never give you a one liner or a single para ( besides as a starter ). My main presence here is to write, and develop my character through different relationships/events. I expect you to match the length, yes. Also, I’m not a starter provider. If you like for a starter via starter calls, I expect you to answer it, or at least warn me if you’re going slow. Not answering a thread, or drop a thread after two replies with no explanation is a pet peeve. I will most likely unfollow to be honest.

FOR DINAH RPERS : all the headcanons are mine, don’t reblog, don’t steal. When I post/reblog musing posts, please don’t stalk and steal with a reblog from another blog. I will know ! It happened and someone told me. So don’t come to whine why I blocked you. If you can’t create your own inspiration, that’s not my problem. ( I have nothing against duplicates, but I’m a little bitter about some, so sorry guys ). I may also block duplicates if you guys have a lot of mutuals with me, if you show up on my dash too much, just to lower my anxiety, nothing personal.

I do have discord ( dinahmite#7041 ) && lately I’ve been a lot more comfortable role-playing on it. If we’re mutuals, you can add me, just let me know who you are please. I’m usually a bit slow due to irl stuff but i never drop anything.

PORTRAYAL

I will only roleplay Dinah Laurel Lance, based on pre-52 && heavily on Gail’s Simone run Birds of Prey. ( not dctv Laurel Lance, not Dinah Drake - Dinah’s mother - or Dinah Drake Lance ( New 52 && Rebirth ).

This is very important because they may own the same name, they are not the same character. It can be confusing, so here is the about page for Dinah for more infos.

Basically, she’s the one taking on her mother’s mantle, and owned her canary cry from a metagene. She’s not an orphan, she’s not part of a Rock Band.

Dinah will be represented by both comics icons and several face-claims; mostly with Katheryn Winnick, ( alt fc Amy Johnson, Lea Seydoux ), for a younger verse, brunette Lea Seydoux.

SHIPPING

Do I ship easily? Yes and no. I mostly ship with chemistry first, whoever is the character you roleplay. If you came here just to bang my fc, then you can go home. That will not happen. I can feel it if you force a ship on me, or goes in that direction without telling me prior. I’m a very open person, IM is always open to contact me about it. I do love me some platonic ships as well. So give me all the nice friendships too.

Also if you see me ship with one particular character, && you play them as well, chances are I will not ship with you ( exception of Oliver rpers, or if we really have good chemistry ). I usually go with ship exclusives.

NSFW

If you passed the shipping level, then you’re welcome to the next stage.

As of lately ( which can change), all my nsfw / sexual threads will be moved to discord as I want my blog to be a safe place for everyone. If you don’t want to move our potential smut thread to Discord, then we will fade to black. I also think people don’t really need to read what’s going on in Dinah’s bed.

However, nsfw asks or memes, will be present : correctly tagged #nsfw && put under a read more. ( then moved to discord if you want to continue it, because i love me a little bit of nasty ? )

Since Dinah fights crime, you bet there will be some violence, blood && difficult topics as well. I’m someone who’s not triggered easily, && I suck at tagging my stuff but I’ll try.

ASKS - MEMES

First, anon asks are never on. I don't condone hate or nasty anons, even though I've never received any so far, but witnessing it on my dash made me feel very uneasy. If you have something to say, say it but you won't hide behind a mask.

Asks are open for everyone, mutuals and non mutuals, if you really want to know anything ic and ooc.

If we’re not mutuals and you send me a meme starters or anything related that could open to a thread, I will delete it. I’m selective for reasons.

I have some starter calls, some are still open, some are not, it happens here and there on the blog, but if you wish to rp with me and we’re mutuals, i’d love for you to make a move in my IM’s so we can plot. However, I won't write you ten starters if you didn't answer a former one. I've limited time on the internet, so don't waste my time. You either want to rp with me or not. If not, that's no big deal really, just don't pretend.

Also, I don’t like starters made without my consent, or just because I started to follow you ( i think that’s called a greeting starter ? ) , I’ll just ignore it, so save your energy and come to my IM’s instead, that will show me you really want to rp with me.
